JAT ICH CHANGING!

Journal of Audiovisual Translation began in 2017 with a traditional way of publishing its contents. However, in 2020 we are ready for a change and to join other scientific journals in continuous publication (CP) system.

The Editorial Board is strongly convinced that the CP is a significant step forward in the scientific publication model, joining other journals that have used this model for more than 10 years.

The CP model allows for the immediate publication of an article as soon as it is ready; that is, peer-reviewed, approved by the Editorial Board, copyedited, typeset, and proofread. This way accepted articles do not need to wait until an issue of the journal is completed.

JAT will continue to collect submissions for one regular issue and one special issue per year:

  • the special issues will be published traditionally - all articles will be released at once in November;
  • the open issues will have the publishing deadline on the last day of December. However, the online issue will be fed throughout the year and when the deadline of a regular issue passes, it is closed and the next issue starts to be fed.

 We believe that the CP model provides a better service to authors and the entire scientific community.
